Biography:

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Claire joined Swafford Law after stints in all three branches of the federal government.  She worked as an Analysist in the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence in the Obama Administration.  She followed that experience by working as a Systems Administrator and Legislative Correspondent for U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH).  During law school, Claire externed with The Honorable Judge Donald C. Nugent in the Northern District of Ohio.  Prior to graduating law school, Claire worked at a regional law firm in Washington D.C. and Nashville in the Government Investigations and Regulatory practices.

Claire’s practice is focused on the areas of Government Relations and Investigations, Business Transactions,  and Regulatory Compliance.  She has worked on a variety of enforcement matters including subpoenas and other investigations by the FBI, OSHA, FDA and the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance.  Her regulatory practice includes work on drone regulation with the FAA, FDIC compliance and audits, and healthcare compliance and enforcement.  She also assists business clients with corporate formation and various transactions matters.

Claire enjoys running and hiking and other outdoors activities.  She also makes incredible chocolate chip cookies.
